HOLISTIC MASSAGE THERAPIES

Touch is a basic and powerful human instinct that has the ability to reassure and comfort. Massage therapy uses touch not only to relax the whole body, but also to provide a range of therapeutic health benefits for the body. On a phisiological level it helps to improve the functioning of the body`s systems, and it is also used to target specific conditions and relieve their symptoms.

SWEDISH MASSAGE = swedish massage or classical massage is one of the mostrecognised types of massages in the west. The aims of sweddish massage are to reduce muscular tension throughout the body by increasing the local circulation of blood and lymphatic fluids; to stretcch muscle fibres; and to reduce adhesions or stickiness, in scar tissues to help improve the appearance of scars. Swedish massage also stimulates the peripheral system which in turn helps to encourage both physical and emotional relaxation.

AROMA THERAPY MASSAGE = primarily affects the autonomic nervous system, that we have no control over, for example the heartbeat. This means that it automatically makes the patient relax. We work with the pressure points on either side of the spine, which act as a series of power source that produce energy. In this way we induce a state where tensions are relieved and the whole organism is stimulated to work better. The soothing movements we use on the face and head have a pleasantly hypnotic effect, while massaging the solar plexus in a counterclockwise motion relaxes the nerve and relieves internal stress.

SUGGESTION FOR TAILORING TREATMENT = we will tailor a massage accordingly (from classical massage and your chosen or preffered from the list below), building in adaptions to a full-body massage, or ... perhaps just focusing on particular area within a shorter time frame. For tailoring treatments for a range of situations are provided --- from balancing energy to improving well-being, to relieving the symptoms for a range of common complaints: to tailoring massage to suit the needs of particular client groups.

MANUAL "LYMPATHIC DRAINAIGE" = a very light pumping action is made on the skin, rather than deep in the muscles. MLD manipilates the flow of lymph fluid through the lymphatic system. Reduces swellingcaused by the accumulation of excess fluid in an area of the body.

DE STRESSING = During times of chronic stress, muscles can be particularly tense and the mind clogged. A flowing whole body massage helps you completely unwind, slowing the mind and calming stressful thoughts.

ANXIETY = Chronic anxiety creates tension throughout the body in particular it can cause palpitations, rapid breathing, and digestive complaints. A whole body-massage with added focus on relaxing strokes and honing in on areas of concern, helps you to let go and release emotional tension.

DEPRESSION = The state of feeling low over a long period of time can manifest in many ways, including a loss of interest in events, tearfulness, feeling sluggish, and inability to focus. The aim with massage is to stimulate circulation and revitalize body and mind, using vigorous techniques and energizing strokes, checking that you are comfortable.

BACK PAIN = when assessing back pain, think about where the pain is felt, whether there is a reduced range of motion in any area. Somme techniques to warm the tissues can be followed by deep tissue strokes and trigger point to release tension and address specific points where pain originates from.

NECK TENSION = Tension is commonly held in the neck and can manifest in various ways, for example causing headaches, or restricting movements. We asses how a client is affected , so you can tailor your massage. With chosen stroke techniques, and trigger point work can all be helpful. We always work sensitivelly with the neck, making movements smooth and slow.

MAKING A TREATMENT PLAN = the aim of massagetherapy is to help optimize health, using oils to support desired treatments. Devising a clear treatment plan tailored to an individual`s needs helps us to work with intention and purpose.
